About Us

In 2001, Ron Tetley and Kip Nussbaum were introduced to each other by a mutual acquaintance.  They soon realized they had many of the same interests, values, and career aspirations.  By 2002, their friendship quickly grew into a working relationship in which they collaborated on numerous business projects.  This lead to an informal partnership which began in 2003.  By 2005, it became clear that a long-term future as business partners seemed practical and logical.  In March, 2005, Ron and Kip consolidated their three offices into one by forming an insurance agency called Creative Retirement Planning, LLC. In 2007, another company was formed to help clients desiring to leave some of their investable assets in the stock market.  This company was named Creative Advisors, LLC and is an Independent Registered Investment Advisory Firm. Through years of working to help people with income tax reduction and general tax planning, we received hundreds of requests to perform personal tax preparation for clients and prospective clients.  In 2008, a subsidiary of Creative Retirement Planning, LLC was formed and given the name Summit Tax & Insurance Services. Their office is located near downtown Akron and is registered with the Akron Better Business Bureau.
